Exporting in Various Types (for Deliveries)

This is the function to use content of E-R model such as tables of eXERD to write documents (deliverables) like 'table specification'.

You can make documents like table documentation using this function.

Exporting a Model

You can export models to HTML or XML, and you can also edit the format to export.

Tip! Files exported in the form of CSV can be imported directly from Excel.

• Select Export Model on diagram toolbar.

  

Selecting a Form

• You can export models by various forms.
• Here are basic forms:
  • Exporting form as HTML tables
  • Exporting form as XML
  • Exporting form as styled HTML
  • Table specification HTML
  • Index specification HTML
  • Relationship specification HTML
  • CSV Comma Separation
  • CSV Tab Separation

  

  Note! The basic formats built in eXERD cannot be modified.

Editing a Form

Using 'Adding Copy of the Template' button on the right side of the combo box for ‘Selecting a Form’, you can add a copied document and edit it.

• While editing the form, you can use Content Assist function for the variables to edit pressing Ctrl + Space.

  

• You can export the content generated in the specified form, to the clipboard or as a file.
• In case of exporting to a file, selecting [Finish], generated HTML is displayed as follows:

  

• Open the generated HTML file with Excel or Word and finish the documentation tasks.
