Content Assist

eXERD provides content assist feature that displays lists of contents to enter automatically when you make E-R diagram.

Note! The shortcut key for content assist provided by Eclipse(and eXERD) is Ctrl + Space.

Tip! If you press the shortcut while editing, all alternative words are listed directly.
        When lists are displayed, ESC makes the lists disappear.

Domain Content Assist

When editing a domain cell, contents registered in Domain View is displayed as in lists.

• On entering some part of the content, all the matching content is listed up as shown below:

  

• If you select a domain in the list, data type of the domain is applied automatically.

Data Type Content Assist

• If a data type has various factors, each are discriminated and listed as shown below:

  

• On selecting one of the list, the type name is entered as below, and a cursor is displayed representing editable status for entering another factor.

  

Content Assist for Physical Name of a Column

If the data dictionary is connected with a diagram, Content Assist automatically provides the compound physical name of the column.

• If you edit physical name or execute content assist by shortcuts, a compound physical name is suggested based on the registered words in the data dictionary.
